New details emerged Thursday after a teen accused of killing a 15-year-old Cape Coral girl appeared in court and was denied bail. NBC2 crews learned more about the murder of Kayla Rincon-Miller after suspect Christopher Horne Jr., 16, was denied bond. Horne faces charges of second-degree murder with a firearm and attempted robbery with a firearm.Throughout the hearing, Horne's family was kicked out of court, and specific information was revealed about the night of the murder. One of the key elements is that two to three more suspects are wanted in connection with the murder. Victims say four people got out of the car, and there may have been a fifth suspect. After Stein picked up Horne, they went to Merchants Crossing Center in North Fort Myers. The car was driving in the area prior to the murder. From there, the two went back to Stein's house. Horne was dropped off at midnight at what was an address to his father's home. According to the witness, Horne walked out of the vehicle and saw a Hispanic male. Horne said he wanted to "rob the chico."The victims are 16 years old. One of them said she had a gun pointing to her head. The victim stated the suspect holding the gun attempting to rob her was Horne, based on a description. They also stated everyone got out of the car with a gun. The defense claims there is no proof Horne was inside or outside the car at the murder scene and may not have been involved.The states asked for Horne to be held without bond to protect the community.His mother, Shanice Stewart, 36, was arrested prior to his motions hearing the same day for obstruction of justice.His father, Christopher Horne Sr., also has a list of previous arrests on the Lee County Sheriff's Office website.
