OMG!!! MTF effects and changes over the last….YEAR (Part 1) (2024)

The body changes daily when you are a person who has no hormones, most of which is based on your own creativity and design of your personality; however, in reality, when taking hormones for a sex change in order to identify as the preferred gender you end up with a vast amount of changes over the course of one year. Some of these changes will take time and others can be done fairly fast in the beginning, but all and I mean all of them will take time to complete your full transition to becoming your authentic self. This is a wonderful and amazing feeling to look into the mirror and see everything that has changed over the course of this long road, and with — Hormone replacement therapy — (HRT) you can gain many of these benefits.

OMG!!! MTF effects and changes over the last….YEAR (Part 1) (3)

By Now, I am sure you are wondering what has changed, what will change and what can I expect in my change?

The list presented with the information about my male to female (MTF) transition has a good amount of general information, but if you are looking for more then you will have to browse or read everything to understand the whole thing.

Changing Appearance…

Mmkay, so like in the beginning when I first started changing things were had especially coming out at the “Really old age of” 32 years old. Okay, maybe it isn’t that old but like to me, it is because I had to go for a long time as someone I hated.

With all the hormones still out of reach, I still started my transition from MTF and it took time, time that seemed like a lifetime of waiting. I looked like a guy 100% in the beginning, and it was a very hard transition at the start because of all the things that I had to go through. However, after looking at everything, I started my process of becoming me, the real me.

I so ended up working on changing everything I could about me, I wanted to be a cheerleader when I was younger but was never able to, but that is the mindset I had going into this because that’s was me. So I begin my change one step at a time, and it simply started by changing my clothing.

Clothing, yes what a difference; I didn’t run right into the skirts and dresses, or bright pink clothing at this point because I was easing into it for myself as well as my wife and kids. They were all learning about this too because it was really new to everyone including me. I knew what I wanted but my image did not even come close to matching what I had envisioned in my mind.

There were huge wardrobe changes that had to take place, and that was very expensive but also was a slow transition. To be honest, I was afraid of how others were going to respond to my change as I was going along, but I ended up wearing androgynous outfits and colors. I started finding a lot more bright blues, or dark female shirts that didn’t really come across as female in the beginning. I still wore my male pants for a little while, and then about 6 months into change still without HRT I finally put my first pair of female pants on.

OMG, the feeling was — AMAZING —

From here is when things started to change, I finally had the chance to put makeup on for the first time, as I begin wearing more and more clothing that were female. I didn’t even get into a skirt until I was 8 months into my transition. Also, I was able to get my glasses changed to something a little more girly which was only from a grey pair to a purple pair. Honestly, that wasn’t that big of a change, but for me, it was like the world-changing.

I started wearing my earrings around 3 months because of the change, at which point that’s when I was able to get my ears pierced on both sides. Funny thing is once I was on hormones I ended up getting the Helix ear pierced on both sides when I was around 5 months on HRT.

So in general, with all the changes and effects that were happening, it took time. Once I started on my hormones, OMG I started going crazy with changing the way I wanted to look to more of the image I saw in my mind over and over again. I begin wearing Skirts first then a dress shortly after starting hormones. I would say about 2 months maybe.

WOW!!! The change happened so much faster on Hormones because I was finally seeing me in the mirror, or at least getting there. I wanted to express my full self and be happy. So here is an image of 3 years pre-hrt, and a picture of what I look like this month. You can see some of the changes as I changed all around.

You have to build on your appearances to become everything you want, and it does take time for many Transgender people like me because not everyone has the money or the courage to literally fly into the unknown world of transition.
